Dental Sealings

Permanent teeth, especially molars, have enhanced anatomy when they first erupt. This means that they usually have deep grooves on the top that can be perfect hiding spots for bacteria. During the evaluation we inspect these teeth and often recommend dental sealants. A dental sealant is a thin, protective coating (made from plastic or other dental materials) that adheres to those deep grooves and helps prevent them from being a hiding spot for the bacteria.
